Lawrence Transformed- Hetal and Samir’s Hindu/Indian Wedding

hindu_wedding_lawrence_feature

You might have already read about a wedding I shot last week if you subscribe to the Lawrence Journal-World: It made the front page last Wednesday. The wedding was a magnet for photogs. In addition to the newspaper coming to the SpringHills Suites, many guests (and even some vendors) had their cameras on hand trying to capture some of the amazing imagery. And who can blame them! From the décor by Event Experts and BitterSweet Floral to the amazing custom sarees and jewelry, the wedding ran the full gamut of colors. Resplendent reds canvassed the bride and groom during the Mandap ceremony. Oneiric oranges of curry blanketed basmati rice at the dinner by Swagat Fine Indian Cuisine and cakes from Slice of Life. Neon colors pulsated on the dance floor at the reception. Eye candy!

Thanks to everyone that helped our photography on the wedding, to Heather for doing the makeup on such short notice and Nichole from Dash for doing the hair. (Speaking of hair, thanks to all the groomsmen for helping the groom shave for the big day too LOL!) A special thanks to Carmen that helped plan and make this such A Beautiful Wedding! It felt like we were in a hotel in Mumbai. Seriously, covering it was a grand, profound experience for us.

Mojica’s Photography Gives Wedding Photos A New Look!
November 27th, 2009 – Posted by Mandy Maxwell

One look at a photo can bring back memories of a moment captured in time. Whether it is a wedding photo, engagement portraits or family pictures, all are equally as important in some way or another.

Reflection Wedding Photo

Mojica Photography understands the importance of little, candid moments and can turn these into masterpieces. Their creative photographer Loraine’s unique view on things is what makes Mojica stand out amongst other photographers. Just listen to her thrilled client:

“One thing I was very impressed with was her creativity. She had wonderful ideas for shots that I would have never thought of before–those are some of my favorites–but she is equally skilled with more traditional shots as well.”

Another thing Mojica is known for is family photography. Anyone who has tried to take pictures of children knows that … well its practically impossible. Sitting still is simply not an option for kids, so Loraine’s natural way with kids puts her a cut above the rest!

“We had so much fun doing them i don’t even think my son even realized we were taking pictures most of the time. Which is great because the pictures turned out very natural and really captured our family.”

You can’t get much better than that! So if you are looking for a good blend of creativity with the technical photography skill to do fantastic traditional wedding photos, Mojica Photography is your best bet!

Newborn Photography

I am so grateful for Darren Rowse of Digital Photography School for publishing my article on newborn photography. 3 Quick Newborn Photography Tips
I am also especially thankful for all the helpful comments and suggestions given in response to the article. The Digital Photography School has taught me so much by reading suggestions others have given, and writing articles seem as a great way to open additional topics of interest.
