Oh, her eyes!-children’s photography Lawrence KS

There is something soothing about looking into the unique grey-blue shade found in newborns’ eyes. I remember waiting with anticipation for my son’s eyes to mature, and hoping that he would keep the same baby-blues that my husband has been blessed with. This baby got to keep hers, luckily, and my lens loved them!

A Pearl of Great Price – Newborn Photography Olathe KS

Recently, I went to Olathe KS to take pictures of this little pearl. She was wide awake and showing off her beautiful newborn eyes for most of the shoot. And when she did sleep, she took that priceless look even further. What a beauty!

All smiles from Weston

At 7 months many children reach certain milestones such as sitting up, lunging forward (to crawl), and standing while holding on to something. Here Weston proved to have an additional milestone: cuteness all session long. What a fun little tyke!

Lindsey & Brett

We shot a classy wedding last month. One Lindsey and Brett exchanged beautiful vows in Gladstone, MO in a grand chapel, filled with friends and loved ones. The ceremony was touching and the reception at Little Theater in Kansas City, MO was a lot of fun. We got a beautiful signature shot of Lindsey and Brett motionless amongst the jubilant dancing at the reception. Here are some of their jaw-dropping beautiful shots to highlight moments of their wedding day.

I think it is hilarious how the guys avoided the garter while Josie {the bride’s maid who caught the bouquet) looked determined to catch it even from before the toss!

Digital Silver Imaging

Longevity and texture. Everyone has seen washed out black and white images of early historic figures in museums and/or old pictures in grandma’s attic. Many of these pictures depict history captured in the click of a shutter. The arrival of a new family member, or an interesting panorama or skyline that has faded away with time were once something that could only be captured with skill and practice. Sadly, most (if not all) of these original old pictures have gradually faded due to light exposure and time.

Thankfully, Digital Silver Imaging has come up with a unique way to create black & white images that give prints longevity. “DSI uses a light source, exposing a silver gelatin layer within the paper to produce a true continuous tone from shadows to highlight.” (DSI)

This is the elegance Mojica Photography aims to provide. We are going to include these finishes as options in all packages with prints.

This technique has been mastered by Eric Luden who has worked closely with black & white printing since the 1980′s. We look forward to introducing these prints into your homes as your memories may last longer.

It’s a girl! The Rabers…

Iliana and Lloyd are such a cute couple! I used the above image on baby shower invitation I made for them.

Family Fun with the Sorensens!

The Sorensen Kids were such beauties! They clearly expressed their personalities in front of the camera and told a tale with every step! Children always seem to bring out a fun side to photography–mainly because they are so unpredictable and have their own agenda!
