Dynamic wedding entertaining director, Ron Ruth, recently delivered an excellent presentation which not only described why Disney World is the “Happiest Place on Earth” but he also juxtaposed that thought to our couples’ weddings and how we as vendors can work together to help make their wedding day a truly happy day for everyone, but most importantly for the bride and groom.

They will get the opportunity to meet Ron Ruth who will be holding a free workshop in Overland Park on July 27th called The MAGIC Behind An Extraordinary Wedding Celebration. After his presentation to us vendors, I did not even hesitate to invite all my brides on facebook to this workshop. He’s going to be highlighting some of the insiders’ secrets to planning a personalized wedding. Knowing Ron, I can testify it is going to be so much fun you will be asking for more at the end.

A couple of months after having a one year old session with Avery, her mom asked me to come back for more. This time with her parent’s family and their spouses. I had so much fun with this family and this day worked out perfectly for them. Their bright red and blues showed off their true colors in college sportsmanship and the lighting of the early evening was perfect that day for showing off all the green surrounding the lake. I truly loved this session, not only because it was a perfect day, but it was also the perfect session with a fun and amazingly beautiful family.

When I was pregnant with my son, I felt like I was the most beautiful woman in the world. I really can’t identify with the sentiment that the extra weight and bloating makes you feel unattractive. For me it was an enhancement, not a hindrance, to my self-image. The last maternity session I shot really took me back to that time.

The mother was positively radiant. I met her and her husband when I took their wedding pictures last year. I loved taking their pictures then, and loved taking their pictures now. They are such a fun, down-to-earth and beautiful couple! And now, they have their little one in their arms, the now have the added glow I notice on new parents. Who, in spite of the reduced hours of sleep, just beam of excitement to have their family grow with love.

Couldn’t get enough of the cuteness? Watch their video. Now the lyrics may not match this couple much ut the rhythm of the music was just perfect.

What a fun session! I loved the cowboy hat Steven brought along for the session. And my favorite part was when his son picked the wild flowers for Mary Ann (which he did on his own) it made such a great picture!

“Finally got it right” hopefully all grooms (and brides) think this way as they make the choice to get married. This song by Fooling April fit in perfectly with Sarah and Austin’s engagement shoot.

It’s so rare to see puppy love in engaged couples anymore. It seems like more often than not, marriage proposals are little more than an exercise in practicality rather than an expression of love. Not so with this couple. I have yet to meet a couple so in love. It was really cute to see how they interact with each other. As they gazed into each others’ eyes, lovingly held hands, and shared gentle kisses, an aura of love enveloped every shot. Let me assure, those smiles are genuine.

Having shot Hina and Nilam’s engagement party a few months back was a beautiful experience with all the rich colors, music and dancing. As I participated in Hina and Nilam’s Nikkah Ceremony, I fell in love with the colors, family unity, and traditions all over again. I loved the henna paintings on the bride’s hands and all the jewelery they wore.

You’re engaged! Congratulations! Now, that you’ve got the ring, a date, and maybe a location, it’s just about time to find a photographer who will capture those precious moments in time for you to look back on years to come.

The finalists will be determined by the amount of ‘likes’ they get by their friends. On October 1st Mojica Photography will announce the six couples that received the most likes, along with their respective prizes.

The the couple with the most ‘likes’ will receive the Grand Prize: free wedding-day coverage (up to 8 hours) along with a CD of low resolution proofs from their wedding day, online proofing, and an online wedding album (hosted for six months). This winning couple will also receive 20% off all a la carte prints and albums.
